The East Preston annual fun novelty dog show was held on the last day of the village festival week. This year it seemed like the entire village attended with their dogs with nearly every breed represented. I had the idea to attend and create some doggy portrait photographs.
Read MoreThe Kent town of Ramsgate commemorated the 75th Anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation, code-named Operation Dynamo, recently with a weekend of war time themed events. A Spitfire gave a fly past, bands played and 1940s music filled the air as visitors mixed with historical re-enactors dressed as WW2 soldiers along the quayside. However the highlight of the weekend for me and the reason I was attending with my cameras was to photograph the returning Dunkirk Little Ships.

The light was fading fast and with night drawing in the other passengers soon settled down inside the large cabin with their warm cappuccinos. They must have thought me mad as I explored the deck of the ship stopping every now and again to take my photos

'Waes Haeil' was the cry as the annual Wassailing at Tarring awakened the tree spirits on a cold winters night. Green men, dancing, shouting and toast in a tree all part of this archaic ritual.
