Wall Of Death Riders
Wall and globe of death riders Jake and Junior Messham photographed in Brighton.
The Messham brothers, Jake and Junior are fifth generation wall and globe of death riders. I met the guys whilst photographing a motorcycle event in Brighton and managed to persuade them into posing for a photograph. I wanted to show as much of the metal globe that they perform in as possible in the photo, but still clearly see the two guys and their bikes. It was not easy! After a few test shots and nearly falling over whilst standing in the globe, it's a lot smaller inside than you think, I decided some help was needed. One of the crew volunteered and as she held my speed light and soft box (never leave home without one) to the left and up high, I positioned myself in the doorway to the globe and shot the photo nice and wide ;)
