The weather tends to be a hot topic of conversation here in the UK. To feed this insatiable desire with weather-related news, I've often been tasked by a picture editor to head out (sometimes literal into the storm) and get some weather photos. However, on this assignment, I didn't expect to photograph a windswept Twiggy on Southsea Prom.

I've enjoyed documenting people's lives and sharing their stories from the moment I picked up a camera. And one subject I've continually revisited is the fishing industry; having always lived by the sea, I guess I have an affinity with their way of life. On this photo assignment, I photograph the fishermen of Spain.

West Sussex, my magical home county. I was born and bred here, and I have worked as a professional photographer and videographer in this beautiful county of Southern England for most of my life. And oddly, I've never felt the need to pick up sticks and live anywhere else!

There's always something to photograph, especially in March when back in 2017 I visited Denia to document this traditional fiesta. Fallas marks St Joesphs Day and runs from the 17th to the 19th of March, with the last day culminating in a wild night of music, fireworks and bonfires.

Working as a TV presenter is so much fun. I love being able to take viewers along with me while I'm on an assignment or when I'm exploring a new place. Of course, being a dedicated professional that I am, this rarely happens (I wish) 😉 However when a retake is sometimes required, it's not always my fault, honest! Easy to carry and just as easy to use, my iPhone allows me to concentrate on looking for new photographs without compromise.
