UK professional PR Photographer, Scott Ramsey, travels to Chichester and photographs the reopening of an Independent Cinema, as COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are lifted in Sussex.
During the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, I've been helping many of my clients, and a few new ones by creating original content, photographs and video, to promote and market their businesses. Some needed photographs to demonstrate the new COVID-19 safety measures they've introduced and others wanted me to photograph their grand reopening, after weeks of being forced to stay closed. You may remember a couple of months ago; I covered a PR Photography assignment for Amberley Museum in Sussex; you can see the PR & Editorial Photographs I created for them here.
More recently, Chichester Cinema hired to me photograph their official reopening. Attended by the Mayor Of Chichester, who cut the ribbon, the event was the talk of the town and was attended by many of their loyal customers. On the day of the photography assignment, I created a mix of Editorial and PR photographs to mark the occasion, and the photographs were used on the Cinemas, social media pages and website. Several of the photographs also accompanied a press release that was sent out to the local media.
The Independent Cinema, in Chichester, West Sussex is run by a small team of dedicated staff who are assisted by a wonderful group of volunteers. They have all worked extremely hard to get the cinema ready for the reopening, and I was overjoyed when the story and my photographs appeared in the local newspaper a few days later.
