Built in the late 1930's, Saltdean Lido looks rather unloved and sorry for it's self as you catch a glimpse of it whilst traveling along the A259 coast road in East Sussex, UK. This derelict art deco Lido has been closed for several years with only local seagulls able to enjoy the open air swimming pool. Once a must go to place for holiday makers during the golden age of the 1930's over 160 Lido's where built across the UK.

Preston Park Velodrome in Brighton is the oldest cycle track in the UK and was built in 1877. I was surprised when I first heard about it as I have covered many photo assignments in Brighton over the years but for some reason never heard of the track. Researching it further and discovering its history I soon decided that it would make a great photo project. And so one lovely Autumn's day in October I visited the track whilst a charity cycling event called 'Pedal In Preston Park' was being held.

A recent search to find a local commercial apple orchard lead me to the Apple Day at Slindon in West Sussex. With a traditional rack and cloth oak cider press, called 'Big Bertha', being used and lots of apples, I spent the day taking photos of the traditional applying pressing process.
